Overview

The ABA Lab ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application operated by WamvyTech. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By using The ABA Lab, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app and contact us to request deletion of your data.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not have access to your Google password.
• Usage & Study Data: We collect data on your study sessions, quiz results, flashcard activity, and progress scores to power your performance dashboard.
• Purchase Information: Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple via In-App Purchase. We receive confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat but do not store any payment card details.
• Device & Analytics Data: Firebase Analytics collects anonymized usage events (e.g., screen views, feature interactions), your device type, OS version, and app version. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you individually.
• Crash Reports: If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics may collect diagnostic information including device state and a stack trace to help us fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and authenticate your identity
• To track, display, and improve your study progress within the app
• To manage and verify your subscription access
• To diagnose technical issues, fix bugs, and improve app stability
• To understand how features are used and guide future development
• To respond to your support requests or questions
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

Data Sharing & No-Sell Policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party — ever.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We share data with third-party services (listed in Section 05) solely to operate the app. Each provider is contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the new entity, which will be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

The following third-party services are integrated into The ABA Lab. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their end.

Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:

• All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• User data stored in Firebase is protected by Firebase Security Rules, which restrict access to authenticated users only
• Authentication is delegated to Google Sign-In — we never handle or store passwords
• Subscription entitlements are managed by RevenueCat, which employs industry-standard security practices
• Access to production systems is limited to authorized WamvyTech personnel only

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the app's services.

• Account & Study Data: Kept for the lifetime of your account. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days of your request.
• Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics are retained by Firebase for up to 14 months per Google's standard retention policy.
• Crash Reports: Diagnostic crash data is retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted.
• Purchase Records: RevenueCat retains subscription transaction history as required to manage entitlements and resolve billing disputes.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these, contact us at infowamvy@gmail.com.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children's Privacy

The ABA Lab is intended for use by individuals who are 13 years of age or older (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). The app is a professional study tool designed for students, practitioners, and caregivers working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at infowamvy@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

International Data Transfers

WamvyTech is based in the United States. By using The ABA Lab, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers (including Google/Firebase and RevenueCat) operate their infrastructure.

These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to ensure your data remains protected when transferred internationally.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Display an in-app notice on your next login following a significant change
• Send an email notification to your registered address for changes that materially affect your rights

Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
